Hi, I’m Megan.

Hi, I’m Megan Oviatt — registered psychologist, mom of four, former teacher, snowboarder, cookie-baker, and lifelong lover of 90s pop-punk.
I’m also the owner of Quest Psychological.

I’ve known I wanted to be a counsellor since I was eight years old. It took some time to get here but this work has always called to me. Now that I’m doing it, I know I’m exactly where I’m meant to be.

I grew up in Edmonton and come from a gigantic, complex family, but now I live and work in Calgary with a gigantic family of my own. I love anything that takes me into the mountains. I’m deeply organized… and also always lose my phone.

I know it’s cliché, but I’m inspired by my clients. There’s something profoundly moving about watching people figure out who they are and then build a life that actually fits. A life they feel at peace in. That’s what I want for every person I work with, whatever that means to them.

I take a flexible, conversational approach to therapy. Rather than following a rigid structure, I let our time together unfold based on your needs, priorities, and what feels most meaningful in the moment. It’s my responsibility to ground the session and keep you on track, all you have to do is lean in.

I’m influenced by the work I’ve done in my own life and by how hard I know life can be. I’ve been through parenthood, divorce, the death of my father, and rebuilding myself far away from everything familiar. I know what it means to be heartbroken and lost and what it feels like to take a leap, fall hard, and get back up again. I know how terrifying (and hopeful) it can be to sit across from someone and say, “I need help.”

I also know what it feels like to live a life that is authentic. One you’ve built from the ground up that feels just right. I believe that’s possible for you, too.
